This episode focus on how teachers can establish and maintain positivity and contribution by students in the ESL classroom. The ideas are based on my experience working with ESL students of a variety of ages and levels and by experimenting with different approaches and techniques. The gist of it is very closely linked to tips for brainstorming as well as how to build a rapport with students. These same ideas are relevant in the workplace among coworkers and managers and can also be applied to some degree with the same positive results.
Vocabulary: strained relations vs amicable/friendly relations, establish/build up relations, brainstorming, encouraging contributions, being concise, to maintain or strengthen relations, really impressive, highly ambitious, rapidly improving, incredibly successful/difficult, stay out of the weeds.
